Early-Stage Tooth Decay Treatment

ICON is a minimally invasive treatment designed to stop early stage tooth decay before it progresses. It works by penetrating the tiny pores in weakened tooth enamel that are caused by acids in the mouth. After early decay between teeth is detected, usually with an X-ray, your dentist gently separates the teeth and prepares the affected area with a special gel. Using an ultra thin applicator, the ICON resin is then applied to infiltrate and reinforce the enamel, sealing the area and preventing further decay without the need for drilling or fillings.
